Education. Restoration. Celebration.

About

The Poudre RiverFest is a collaborative endeavor that brings together like-minded nonprofits from our local conservation community to help organize and deliver the event. The current iteration of the Poudre RiverFest was first held in May of 2014 in the wake of the devastating high floodwaters of 2013. A group of local nonprofits decided to pool their resources and bring together their unique expertise to create a festival focused solely on the Cache la Poudre River, where people could learn about the river, get their hands dirty and raise a glass to this natural treasure.

Our Vision: The Poudre RiverFest inspires stewardship towards a thriving river ecosystem and community.

Our Mission: To provide a platform to celebrate the Poudre River, educate people about its importance to our communities and inspire them to action.

Our Values:

  • All event activities and exhibitors are connected to the river.

  • Profits go back to a river-based restoration or education project.

  • The whole community is welcome - free to attendees and family-friendly.

Like so many other events experienced, 2020 threw our committee a curve ball but we knew the work couldn’t stop, especially with the Cameron Peak Fire impacting our community, so the Poudre RiverFest went virtual and hosted 7-days worth of free content, activities, and workshops for the community. In 2021, we continued to raise awareness and funds with a 4-day hybrid event that spanned over 4 months. In 2022 and 2023, we returned to our single-day in-person festival at New Belgium Brewing where we were joined by over 2,500 attendees. We hope you’ll join us again in 2024 to keep the celebration of the Cache la Poudre River going!
